When I learned about the incredible work that LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) is doing—and continues to do—I was both moved and thrilled to join the movement. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about volunteering and raising funds for various causes. As an adult, my family and I came together to create Repair to Re-pair, a faith-centered business with a mission to make a positive impact in the world.
Cancer has impacted countless lives around the world, touching families, friends, and communities in ways that are often hard to put into words. Its reach is vast, and no one is untouched by its challenges—whether through personal experience or supporting those we love. The journey can feel overwhelming and isolating, but through unity, strength, and support, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against this disease.
I’ve proudly accepted my nomination for Visionaries of the Year after being deeply inspired by LLS's incredible approach to uniting communities for global change. When reflecting on difficult times, we often focus on our inner strength—believing that this will determine our ability to overcome obstacles. This happens because we’re often encouraged to give and be there for others, but not always shown how to embrace support ourselves. Learning this balance can make a world of difference in our healing and personal growth.
My goal for this campaign is to emphasize the importance of embracing the power of support and recognizing that support can show up in countless ways. I want to remind the world that when communities come together, support extends far beyond just those we know and love. In that unity, loneliness fades, healing begins, and strength is both restored and renewed. With your help, I’m confident that every patient and their family will be empowered to receive the care and education they need, ensuring they never have to face their healing journey alone.
We formed Team Restoration to honor the memory of my fiercely brave, unapologetic cousin, Cha'trel Archie, who was called home after her courageous battle with breast cancer in 2016. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit continues to inspire us every day.
